Teacher Training : Marketing Bootcamp on Promoting Online Courses
Learn the basics of Marketing for a Networked Tech World : HTML, Graphics, Search & Social Media
Us (WizIQ) : You will need to promote your online course.
Teacher(s) : And, how can I do that?
Us (WizIQ) : Make sure your course title and description has the right keywords. Start a FB page. Engage the students. Offer free lessons. Start small. Build an audience. Then, there is Twitter, Quora, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Google+. And needless to mention, you must actively blog, not only on your own blog but comment at other places. And, there could be a new cool thing out there tomorrow. Don't give up. Ever.
This is not only an alien territory but difficult one too for most teachers. No wonder that only a handful of the teachers are successful. Some teachers start, only to leave mid-way. Many, don't even start. So many teachers would help learners learn around the world, if they knew how to reach these students by marketing themselves better.
We've always wanted to hand-hold teachers through the process of promoting their online courses. We've worked hand-in-hand with some teachers like Sunita Kadian who teaches English (we worked with her on several of her courses to finalize a strategy), Beatriz who gets a steady flow of students interested in learning Spanish through her courses or some teachers whose Banking jobs and recruitment courses or CAT 2013 preparation online courses are doing well. We've seen some teachers utilize their offline presence effectively like, Scrivener by Gwen Hernandez, Gloria Lemay's Midwifery courses and Mike Klinger's Online Music Workshops cum Courses. All this has exposed to a lot of insights and lessons, which we want to bring to you now.
The basics of marketing and promotion remain the same even online, Word of mouth. However, there are tools available in a networked tech world which enable the power or word of mouth to be harnessed faster and bigger. For that, at one level, you need to learn how to use the different tools and platforms available, on the other, you need to pick up technical skills. Teacher Training : Marketing Bootcamp on Promoting Online Courses will cover both. We'll announce the topic of the week - well, in advance. But, first some rules:
# Starting today is better than starting tomorrow.
# Promotion, marketing and branding are always-on activities.
# Nothing replaces consistent, hard-work.
Teachers are inherently inquisitive and good learners (at least most are). We'll create a supportive but rigorous environment for you to learn. We hope you apply what you learn and benefit.
How to join this course?
